Over Mexican hot chocolate this morning, my BFF Mrs E of Needles Zing told me that she was going to use her jelly roll that she got for Christmas to participate in the sampler quilt along hosted by Moose on the Porch Quilts and wouldn’t it be fabulous for us to get together weekly to work on our quilt together.
Hmm, let me think about that…..drink coffee, socialize with my BFF, and quilt too.….uh, hello…..that would be a YES!! I am so excited because now I have someone to hold me accountable so I won’t have a lurking UFO (for those of you who don’t quilt it means unfinished object & believe me when I say that I do have my fair share of these stashed around the house!)
The quilt along starts March 1st and ends August 2nd so if you want to join and you do NOT have a jelly roll in your stash you still have time to head to your favorite quilt store and shop for supplies. If you don’t live close to a quilt shop, I highly recommend the Fat Quarter Shop for selection, price and service! You can get all the details on what you’ll need for Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt Along 2010 here.
Now, I have to go through my extensive Moda jelly roll stash and decide which one I want to break open. They just look so pretty that I have to work up to breaking them open to use them in a project! Yep, my hand is raised for “FAA” aka fabric -addicts-anonymous! ;-0 I will let you know what I decide on once I have time to rifle through all my fabric…..stay tuned!
