Quilted Gobble Gobble Coin Quilt

Ok, I had finished the quilt top of the darling coin quilt a while back and have been meaning to post pictures of the final quilted project. Somehow, I got sidetracked by kiddos, dogs and life in general! While at the International Houston Quilt Festival I auditioned several quilting threads before I finally decided on Superior Threads King Tut 40 wt cotton (col no 911).

I used a topstitch  #90/14 needle for the machine quilting on my trusty Pfaff!  Here is a picture of the backside. I just love all those fall inspired polka dots! The binding is also polka dots but a darker value (dk green).

I met Kim Churbuck at the Quilt Festival. She had the most amazing quilt labels drawn & shaded to entice you to buy her books, “Make Your Own Quilt Labels!” .  I purchased two of her books: Fall & Wintertime and Up North. I think the handmade quilt label  (design from Fall & Wintertime) adds that personal touch (ok, maybe I’m just a little biased). This quilt is off to you guessed it, Eve, who lives in the Great White North (aka Canada).

As far as I can tell, Kim Churbuck does not have a website. If you’re interested in purchasing one of her quilt label books, please leave a comment and I’ll e-mail you her address so you can contact her directly. I don’t want to post it because I’m sure she’ll get spammed to no end!
